History

In 2016, the International Thai Martial Arts Games & Festival (ITMA Games) were founded by several esteemed organizations, including the World Muay Thai Organisation (WMO), the World Muay Boran Federation (WMBF), and the Kru Muay Thai Association (KMA). Their shared vision was to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Thailand through the power of martial arts.
Held at the prestigious Bangkok National Stadium, the ITMA Games drew in hundreds of participants from over 30 countries. Attendees were treated to a thrilling display of combat sports such as Muay Thai and Dab Thai, as well as cultural showcases featuring traditional dances and other art forms. The festival also offered a range of seminars and courses, including the highly-coveted judge and referee course.
